Bloomfield Beach House - Location

Bloomfield is located North of Cairns between Cape Tribulation and Cooktown along the Bloomfield track. It is approximately 3.5 hours from Cairns with no stopovers.

From Cairns follow signs north to Port Douglas/Mossman. Keep travelling north and turn right when you see the signpost for the Daintree Ferry. You will need to pay to cross on the Ferry.

Follow the road north through the Daintree Rainforest to Cow Bay, Cape Tribulation and onto the Bloomfield Track (this is a dirt road that crosses through 3 running creeks, and ascends and descends steep mountain ranges – extreme caution should be exercised at all times).

You may decide to stop for a swim or a picnic lunch at either Emmagen Creek or further along at Woobadda Creek. From the start of the dirt it will take approx. 1 hour to Bloomfield without stops.

Upon entering Wujal Wujal you will come to the Bloomfield River and cross the Bloomfield Crossing. From Wujal Wujal follow road north along the Bloomfield River to Ayton. Travel about 2km's north and turn right at Weary Bay Road, follow road down about 1 km to Weary Bay Esplanade. Bloomfield Beach House is on the left.

Note: The above creeks and rivers on the Bloomfield Track can be impassable at certain times if there is heavy rainfall.
